Spearfishing – Your biggest challenge

Not really to do with spearfishing as pushing past your limits is incredibly dangerous. But use it in your dry training and it may help.
My brother @Deon_Nivvy sent me this (avid cyclist and did ride elite for a time), he is thinking about getting it tattooed on his back.

Your biggest challenge isn’t somebody else. It’s the ache in your lungs, the burning in your legs and the voice inside you that yells “I Can’t!”, But you do not listen. You just push harder , then you hear that voice fade away and start to whisper , ” I CAN!”. That’s the moment you discover that the person you though you were is no match for the one you really are!

Tyrel with some of his first fish

One of my very good mates got into spearfishing about a year ago…and to say the bug bit him badly is an understatement.
Going to try get him to keep sending me some pics and now since he got a GoPro, some videos.

Another article on USM – Ultimate Spearfishing Magazine, this time regarding shore entry and how to handle your buoy or float.

Unfortunately since Chris is from Durban we Capetonians have a few other things to worry about and since I can’t log in to the site (problem is being sorted out) I am going to post a technique that I use here.

When possible I will comment to the original post which can be found here –> USM – Shore Dive Entry
